Iberia Business Class Lounge Madrid (International Terminal Satellite Lounge)

Iberia business class lounge entrance

We were invited to use Iberia’s business class lounge over in the international departures terminal thus i like to call it a “satellite lounge”.  There is another very nice lounge for domestic flights but the lounges appear to be similar.

We were greeted at the reception desk in the lounge where the lounge attendant checked our boarding passes and allowed us entrance. Once inside I thought the lounge was pretty large and the decor was nice.

When we first arrived there were plenty of chairs and different seating areas.  Each area had its own charging station to keep our electronics charged up. After about an hour in the lounge the attendance picked up substantially and it started to get really crowded.

Plenty of chargers in the lounge at the seats

There were plenty of various areas of the lounge to try to escape to and relax.   They even had quiet nap rooms but they were full during our visit.

There is also a nice area for kids which included some fun sitting areas and cartoons on the TV.  They also had a video game station with some xbox one’s set up to play.

We decided to get some breakfast at the lounge.  The selection was just ok.  I had some eggs while our son had some fruit and yogurt.  We didn’t have much because we knew we would have a nice meal on board as well.

They also had numerous shower rooms available during our visit.  While I didn’t need a shower I did pop in and check them out to see how they looked.  They were very clean with a shower attendant on staff.  To gain entry the reception desk gave me a 4 digit code and told me what room I was assigned to then I just had to punch in the code to get access to the room.

Its always nice and appreciative when airlines offer a nice shower room to freshen up if need be and while these were not amazing they were nice and functional.

After chilling out for a bit and having our light breakfast it was nearly time to board.

After a little more than an hour we left for our gate to catch our flight home on Iberia business class.  Overall a nice place to catch a rest but during busy departure times the lounge can get quite crowded.
