Dining in Mallorca

We were tired of eating in our resort hotel so on several occasions we ventured out to get something to eat!  Below were some of our favorites!

Del Mar

We ate at Del Mar on our last evening in Mallorca.  We just kind of randomly found it on google and it had good ratings.  We had to park far away as the area it is located in is very busy and right on the sea.  This gives the restaurant a nice sea view!

We had a really high quality meal here!  What a nice place to eat.  The waiter was really friendly and did good with recommendations.   We had some appetizers and then we both had a different fish entree.  From the outside patio seating there are great views across the street into the sea.  We had a really pleasant and delicious meal here and would love to return! (See the photo of our receipt for what we actually ordered)

Sa Cuina

WOW, what a standout little restaurant in Manacor!  Best meal we had in our five days in Mallorca!  We wanted to come back the next day but it was closed that one day a week.  The waiter didn’t speak any English which was really the first time in Spain where we had a communication barrier.  He was able to have the chef come out and speak some English so we were able to make some nice selections.

We had a killer appetizer and just amazing entrees. My steak was amazing!  From the outside this place looks a bit unassuming but it is a diamond in the rough!  Really high quality food.  My wife loved it all too!

If your in Manacor please please do yourself a favor and make a visit to Sa Cuina!

Kikinda

Located in Capederpa this was a totally packed restaurant when we visited!  We had to get a table inside as outside was booked full.  I would recommend making a reservation here if planning a visit. A really good overall meal. We had some great pizza and pasta. Staff was friendly and polite. The restaurant is located in the main town square/plaza where there are other eating options in the area but this is a good call.

Bar Playa

We stopped at Bar Playa while visiting the beach.  We had a bit of bad timing here as our son was an absolute gremlin during our meal!!  We had great seats with views of the beach but the table was an actual tray and he almost pushed the entire tray full of food onto the beach a few times.  Eventually my wife had to leave half way through the meal to take him to the car.   However aside from our son the food here was good especially for a beach restaurant.  It was quite packed and you had to wait for a table at some points.  Its a really nice place to eat and enjoy the scenery and have a glass of wine a bite to eat!

There’s lots of quality places to eat in Mallorca!  This is just a small sampling in one small area of the island!
