Cathay Pacific Regional Business Class HKG-KUL

Well after lounging a bit to long in the lounge we got to the gate just in time as the board was showing “Last Call”! For that reason we were some of the very last to board in business class arriving to a full cabin. ( In turn, I don’t have many pictures of the cabin but please see our prior Cathay Pacific regional business class flight last year for better pictures.)

We were immediately offered a welcome drink.  I had a water and my wife continued with the Oriental Breeze beverage from our prior flight.  We finished our beverages and the captain came on to let us know about our flight time, routing and weather in Kuala Lumpur noting that they expect a decent amount of turbulence.

The cabin seating is plenty spacious for less than 4 hour flights.  I find the seats relaxing and just right for couples traveling together.  We were seated in the middle two seats in the cabin thus no window seats which was fine.

Menu’s were passed out immediately once at 10,000 feet and selections were made quickly.  One of the flight attendants greeted each passenger (while looking at the manifest) by name and welcomed us and took our breakfast order.

I decided to go with the fruit and dim sum for breakfast although neither one of us was hungry since we just ate breakfast in the lounge prior to boarding.  My wife decided to skip this meal since two breakfasts isn’t necessary.  I decided to pop on the IFE TV and watch a movie (I forgot which one, can anybody tell me in the comments below by looking at my screen what I was watching?).  I continued with more Hong Kong style milk tea for my beverage choice.  The service was good and attentive throughout the flight.   Zero complaints in that regard.

The flight was fairly non-eventful which is a good thing to me. There was a middle aged woman seated to our right on the isle that my wife noticed was very nervous on the flight.  Every single bit of turbulence got her to react by gripping the seat hard.  She never even turned on the IFE to try to get her mind off the mild turbulence. I smiled a bit because thats how I was just a few years ago!  We really enjoy Cathay Pacific overall and have never had a bad flight with them however we have never flown in economy with them either.  After a few short hours we were landing in Kuala Lumpur before we knew it.
